Jpegs are lossy compression. I doubt you can get the raw data back no matter what rendering method you choose. Jim says the teeth alligning with the 8px blocks is just a coincidence. O rly? See here, there are two, TWO rover images of this rock. Now if the statue is legit we would see the features in both images. Do we? boards.420chan.org/tinfoil/src/1420098909748.jpgNope! The carved teeth aren't there and the eye looks all screwy. I followed Jim's instructions exactly with the second image and this shows we can't say its a statue. If I had to guess, I'd say this is probably just an interesting rock. Do you agree? Anyone tried software like dejpeg on it? Let us know. www.topazlabs.com/dejpegAlso here's a pic I did which shows Far left, the second rover image Jim doesn't analyse Second from left, the rover image Jim does analyse Far right image, grid overlayed the rover image Jim analyses, showing the grid ligns up with the teeth! Jim insists it's a coincidence but I doubt it.
